Brief
mDiFiBank is a comprehensive resource that has gathered and curated data on the associations between dietary fiber-human microbiota and diseases-microbiota from published microbiota studies.
In this database, users have access to three Microbiota-based Networks: Fiber-Fiber network, Disease-Disease network, and Fiber-Disease network.
Additionally, the entire dataset in the database can be downloaded at any time.
Features
mDiFiBank incorporates 317 fiber-microbe entries, encompassing 54 fibers and 112 microbes sourced from 81 research papers. Furthermore, it integrates 10,582 disease-microbe entries, comprising 325 diseases and 1766 microbes derived from 1092 papers.
The microbes associated with human diseases in the database are found across 45 body sites.

Overview: The outline of mDiFiBank establishment with four main components.
Human microbiota-based Fiber-Fiber network
Brief
Each node in the network corresponds to a specific dietary fiber. The presence of a solid or dashed line connecting two dietary fibers indicates a positive or negative association between them.
All links, regardless of whether they are represented by solid or dashed lines, possess statistical significance with a False Discovery Rate (FDR) of less than 0.05. The thickness of the lines reflects the strength of the similarity links.
Key Statistics
Number of Nodes: 32 dietary fibers
Number of Edges: 111
Positive Associations: 78 (red lines)
Negative Associations: 33 (blue lines)
Note: Plese be patient, it will take a little time to run!
Human microbiota-based Disease-Disease network
Brief
Each node in the network represents a distinct disease. The presence of a red or blue line connecting two diseases indicates a positive or negative association between them.
Significance is attributed to all links, regardless of whether they are represented by red or blue lines, with a False Discovery Rate (FDR) of less than 0.05. The thickness of the lines corresponds to the strength of the similarity links.
key Statistics
Number of Nodes: 161 disease groups
Number of Edges: 4877
Positive Associations: 3192 (red lines)
Negative Associations: 1685 (blue lines)
Note: Plese be patient, it will take a little time to run!
Human microbiota-based Dieatry Fiber-Disease network
Brief
Each node represents one disease/ dietary fiber. The red line and blue line shows a positive/ negative link between dietary fiber and disease.
No matter that the link is red line or blue line, the link has a significance with FDR less than 0.05.The thicker the lines, the stronger the similarity links.
key Statistics
Number of Nodes:155(123diseases,32fibers)
Number of Edges : 1659
Positive Associations: 870 (red lines)
Negative Associations: 801 (blue lines)
Note: Plese be patient, it takes a little time to run!Evidence of dietrary fiber and microbiota association

How to use the website?
Preface
The mDiFiBank database is an extensive repository that has systematically collected and curated data pertaining to the connections between dietary fiber-human microbiota and diseases-microbiota, derived from published microbiota studies.
The database consists of four functional pages: Home, Browse, Search, and Download.
These pages offer users a range of capabilities to navigate, explore, and obtain data from the database. Combined, these four pages form the functional interface of mDiFiBank, empowering users with convenient access to the database's functionalities and wealth of resources.
